Tina's Great Year (12-31-14) SOLD

"Tina," Ink & Marker on 8 1/2" x 11" Bristol, $45

The inspiration for this one came from an odd place.  Somehow I remember a cartoon I saw about 25 years ago, printed on a notepad.  It depicted a shaggy, skinny, roughed-up looking wolf or coyote, and was captioned "It's Been a Great Year!"  A few of you may even remember seeing it.  Somehow, that seemed relevant, and became a foundation for this piece.

  1. Very clever concept indeed! The rope and other marks/accessories on Tina's body invoke all sorts of visions in the mind's eye, and are just as erotic after the fact, as it were. Nice job too representing what one could assume to be a year's worth of "play" for her in one drawing...it pretty much says it all.

And as far as the source material is concerned, she does have a certain animal energy in her body as she languorously stretches out there in her chair, no doubt reflecting on the past year's fun. Kind of wiley, our Tina is, come to think of it, in many ways, if you get my drift...
