Kelsie Plays a Game (5-13-14) SOLD

"Kelsie," Ink & Marker on 8 1/2" x 11" Bristol, $40

I was originally going for a "zig-zag" or "M" shape with Kelsie's body and hair, but somehow the composition just sort of evolved as I was working on this.  I do like how the lighting turned out with that white division though the center of the piece.

  1. You know how much of a gamer I am, so do not be surprised when I point out that that there controller isn't from real life, is it?

    Also neat! Bound naked lady!

  2. There's a game controller in the piece...?

I too like the white division dividing the piece; it actually functions as a secondary, more hard edged "zig-zag" element which contrasts nicely with Kelsie's lithe and curvaceous body (the other strong light value area) and hair. I think the "M" shape came off well. I also dig the bird's eye view and the creative take on the hogtie, as well as the vintage sofa she is laying on.

Seems to me, with all the various items distributed on the arms of the sofa, that the game Kelsie may actually be playing is a variation of "10 Little Indians"...busy girl!
