Happy New Year!

Seems like every New Year's Eve, Tobie and I decide to work on some crazy project.  It's a brief period when we're both at home at the same time, so we usually stay in, get stuff done, then maybe have a beverage before bed.  This time, we didn't even get to the beverage stage- but we did make progress.  We recently had a logjam in putting our screen printing operation together, when we found out that we didn't have a computer capable of running the industrial-grade software we need.  Not having the resources to buy a fancy new machine, we dug out a dead PC left over from my old auto body shop, bought new guts for it, and started the operation.  Honestly, I'd much rather work on carburetors and torque converters than motherboards and processors.  Good thing Tobie's into this stuff, I just handed her the screwdriver and away she went...

  1. Hope you had someplace else to eat at with all that spread out over the table. Is that why you didn't have a beverage before bed, no place to drink it at? ;-) Hope you get it up and running so you can get the screen printing operation up and running.

    1. Thanks! We're making steady progress, so I'm feeling confident that this will all come together like it should.

  2. Yes, sometimes it is best to just step back and let those more inclined toward certain jobs handle them…good luck with the PC surgery and the overall operation.

What's really cool about this shot is the "high tech" computer guts all spread out over a very cool retro mid-20th century kitchen table…nice juxtaposition!

    1. Y'know, I didn't really think about it while we were working on it, but when I was posting this photo, I also noticed that juxtaposition. Kinda fun!
