Kelsie Tied and Ready (10-26-13) SOLD

"Kelsie," Ink & Marker on 8 1/2" x 11" Bristol, $34.95

Big changes are on the way!  I've switched to a part-time schedule at the day job, which should allow me to finally start really making progress in the studio- both on commissions and new pieces for this blog.  Thanks to everyone for all your support!

  1. Not exactly your classic chair tie, but certainly one designed for maximum, shall we say, fun. Kelsie's body, posed as it is, mirrors the structure of the chair in an interesting complementary way, creating a nice balance which I can only hope would carry over from the purely visual to the "real" (for those gleaning ideas from these drawings, especially). The dark ropes on her light body also are a great contrast, balanced out with the more middle tones of her hair and the chair. Also, what at first looks like a rather casual tie becomes, on closer inspection, to appear quite effective, and plain darn fun to look at...nicely done!

    1. Thanks! I'm sure Kelsie's enjoying her situation as much as we are, so it's a good time for everyone.

    2. Indeed we all are, I'm sure, with more to come! And before I forget, yet again, all good luck with the new schedule!
